Kalafhi Medical Center is a 100% citizen-owned healthcare establishment dedicated to delivering top-notch medical services that are easily accessible to everyone while promoting overall health and wellbeing throughout the nation.
We aim to expand our presence in the local communities, contribute meaningfully to the national economy, and provide people with the healthcare and assistance they need and deserve as our comprehensive range of healthcare services caters to individuals of all ages.
Our network currently includes 4 branches situated in and around Gaborone. In our efforts to assert Botswana’s ambition of becoming a health tourism destination of choice, our Clinic aims to expand into and create a hospital.
This hospital will become a healthcare hub in the region which offers a wide variety of services including cardiology, neurology, operation theatres, oncology and will also include visiting specialists to provide services not readily available among others.

Dr. Mongwa-Mouwane, the founding director and practicing doctor at Kalafhi Medical Center, is a dynamic and visionary leader in the healthcare sector. With nine years of experience, she has overseen the growth of Kalafhi to what it is now. Dr. Mongwa-Mouwane is passionate about transforming Botswana's healthcare system to rival the world's best, with the ultimate goal of making the country a regional medical tourism destination and health hub. "I strive to create a positive impact on the lives of my patients and my community at large through my commitment to holistic wellness."
Mr. Barolong Mouwane is a dynamic entrepreneur and visionary leader, known for his remarkable contributions in both the construction and health industries. As the co-founder of the Kalafhi Group of Companies, he has spearheaded the establishment of Botswana's first Smart Hospital, along with a network of clinics and pharmacies. Under his guidance, the Kalafhi Group has revolutionized healthcare services in the country, bringing cutting-edge technology and innovation to the forefront.
